Larrance Dopson is a 4x Grammy-winning producer who has worked with Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Beyonce, and hundreds more. He founded 1500 or Nothin' — one of the most sought-after live bands and production collectives in the world.

But music was just the beginning. Rance sits on the board of Suno — one of the biggest AI music companies in the world, changing how music is created with artificial intelligence. He is also an advisor to Bolt (valued at $14 billion) under CEO Ryan Breslow, where he learned the language of Silicon Valley from the inside.

That experience changed everything. Sitting in boardrooms with VCs, founders, and operators, Rance had to learn 200 words he had never heard before. He spent 200+ hours in rooms listening to people speak a language the culture never had access to — going to his terminal after every meeting, looking up what every term meant, building his own understanding word by word.

And he realized: these concepts are not hard. The culture already THINKS this way. A cap table is a splits sheet. An MVP is a demo. Equity is publishing. The knowledge was never difficult — it was just gatekept behind vocabulary designed to exclude.
